Beginning November 2nd 2026, 24 additional urgent care centers across South Carolina will become Prisma Health Urgent Care locations, expanding access to convenient, high-quality care for communities across the state.

Prisma Health Urgent Care is acquiring Novant Health Urgent Care locations in South Carolina, formerly known as Doctor’s Care. For patients, the transition is designed to be simple: you can continue visiting your local urgent care center for the care you rely on while gaining access to the benefits of Prisma Health Urgent Care.

Your urgent care center may have a new name, but getting care when you need it will remain convenient and easy. The transitioning locations will operate as Prisma Health Urgent Care. Current patients will continue to receive care without interruption during the transition. Patients will continue to have access to walk-ins and virtual care services, including respiratory testing, x-rays, and labs.

As part of Prisma Health Urgent Care, patients will have access to convenient care options designed around busy schedules, including:

• Urgent care services seven days a week, 365 days a year
• Extended hours to make it easier to get care around work, school, and family
• Walk-in care when an unexpected illness or injury happens
• Book-ahead options to reserve your spot in line before you arrive
• Virtual visits for eligible healthcare needs
• Diagnostic services, including on-site X-rays and lab testing at participating locations
• Same-day testing for many common illnesses and health concerns
• Connections to the Prisma Health network when additional or follow-up care is needed
